Dr. Kyle Merrick

I grew up in Duluth, MN with my parents and two sisters. After high school I attended Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, MN and majored in Biology. A little fun fact is that both my parents and my sisters also graduated from Gustavus. I then went on to complete dental school at the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities. One of the best experiences I had during dental school was having the opportunity to travel to Antigua, Guatemala with some classmates and provide dental treatment to those in need. 

During my last year of dental school I met a beautiful lady named Alaina, who is now my beautiful wife! Alaina and I love to hike, travel and explore new places so I'm always up to hear any suggestions of awesome places to visit. We picked up a new hobby of Pickleball in the last couple of years so we're still trying to perfect our game. I also enjoy all sports and am an avid camper, hunter and fisherman. My family has a cabin on Lake Vermilion in Cook, MN so I love spending time on the lake during the summer. 

I knew in high school that I wanted to be a dentist and it wasn't necessarily an Aha moment. I think it came from the fact that I enjoy working with my hands, have an artistic mind and love being able to help/meet new people. These traits led me to dentistry and I couldn't be happier. Every day is full of meeting new people and helping them achieve their smiles and oral health goals. One of the biggest things I strive for is to make people comfortable in the dental setting. I know it's not the most exciting place to be but I want to make it somewhere you feel safe and comfortable so if there is ever anything I can do to help, please let me know! I am excited to be part of North Branch Dental and enjoy helping all members of the community!
